When I went to Crufts some years ago I was there on behalf of Dogs Trust and took part in the rescue dog agility with Badger. On behalf of Battersea was Josh Rafter and his beautiful dog 'Bailey'. Bailey was rehomed from Battersea some years ago and is a very big boy. He looks like a cross between a German Shepherd and a Grizzly Bear! Josh was slightly apprehensive about the jumping involved and as it turned out he completed most of the course and Bailey just looked on in obvious bewilderment and perhaps even a hint of embarrassment as his dad majestically cleared the jumps!
Josh was an absolute star and a genuine pleasure to be around. He and Bailey shone throughout the day and had time for everyone. Bailey took his new-found fame in his stride Josh restored my faith in the fact that not all famous people think they're god!
