Are GCSEs important i really want to become a vet when i'm older. i'm 15 and i will soon be taking my GCSE's. Are they really important??? i'm worried i may not do well enough. i've just had "practice exams" and i got a B in chemistry, a B in maths but only a C in Biology. i don't have my Physics exam results back beacause my teacher left and i don't do zoology. i have a year to go yet untill the real thing. do you have to be as intelligent as they say? If i fail will i be able to try again? Is it really hard? i'm really determined though and every time someone has something wrong with their pet they always ask me because i watch so many animal programs! (including 'vets in practice'.) NicolaYou still have plenty of time to boost your grades a bit and you are not far off. Your grades at GCSE will not count when it comes to getting into college as long as you're A Level grades are good enough. In many schools you will only be allowed to take the higher exams if your grades are good enough. Don't despair. You can resit and keep trying. Also try to get as much practical experience with animals as possible too as this will all count and will show how determined you are. Emma
